家具改造 Funiture Fun

I found this table at our condo's dumpster.

Soon after that, it turned out to be a drawing table.. 

うちのコンドミニアムのゴミ捨て場に捨てられていたテーブルを拾って来た

が、すぐに落書きテーブルに変えられてしまったので

 So, I decided to make it look better!

First, I took all apart, then sanded, painted and changed the knob for the little drawer.

I used a chalk board spray paint so that the boys can draw and erase:)

The table was FREE and I only paid for the paints which cost less than $10!! I had FUN.

改造することにした

まずパーツごとに崩し、やすりをかけ、ペイント、仕上げに引き出しのノブを変えて。。

出来上がり！　黒板用スプレーペイントを使ったので、子供たちも絵を描きすぐ消せる。

しかもテーブルは無料。ペイント代千円以下！　楽しかったー

Beach Beach Beach!!!

I took the boys to a new beach. It was a little bit of a hike from its parking lot.. After carrying everything on my skinny arms(including Sean who forgot to bring his shoes!) We made it!

Found a little place called "queen's bath". It was super cold..

This was another beach,. It became one of my favorite since it has a lot of tall tress that boys love to climb. It also offers a huge rock that they can climb and jump off to the ocean.

Someone got sand all over his face!!

Sean

 He is an interesting individual. He just turned five but is experiencing a lot of delays from his friends/peers. However, he has a great sense of humor and has a mind set of being a big five years old boy.
 ショーンはとても興味深い少年です。最近５歳になったものの、他のお友達のように離したりうまく意思疎通がとれません。が、彼の頭の中では５歳児のお兄ちゃん。性格はかなり不思議ですが、笑いを誘うユーモアの持ち主です。

 This made me laugh. He begged me to get this skeleton guy at a store so I got one. As soon as he got home, he ran to his girl friend;s bike and rode it all the way home. I was wondering why it was so exciting for him,, and saw the skeleton in the back seat! it was even bucked, too! hahahahaha
ハロウィン間近のある日、お店で骸骨の人形を買って欲しいと相当ねだられたので、買ってあげたら家に帰るなりすぐ女友達の自転車をかりて来て悠々とサイクリング。ん？と思ってよく見たら、あの骸骨！後ろの席にちゃんと乗っている。しかもシートベルトまで。細かい！笑

 One thing he really is in to right now, is ukulele!
We bought a nice ukulele for his birthday. He's been taking it to EVERYWHERE! He's been jamming it out in the front on the lawn, at school, on the couch.. I showed him a youtube video of Jake Shimabukuro. And that got him into it. Here he was watching his video and imitating Jake even his face expressions! hahaha
誕生日に大好きなウクレレを買ってあげました。とにかくハマってるので、どこへでも持っていってます。家の前の芝部、学校、ソファー等等。で、そうならジェイクシマブクロをyoutubeで見させてみようと思って見せたら、まんまと釘付けに。。
表情まで真似していました。彼。笑

 He didn't have any good motor skills till few months ago. But now, he slowly improved in his craftiness. I made spiders with him out of egg cartons:) It was fun.
数ヶ月前まで指先など使うのが苦手だった彼。最近はちょっとした進歩を見せて、クラフトなんかも一緒にできるようになりました。今回は卵のケースでクモ作り。鼻もつける！となぜかちょっと不思議だけれど可愛いクモさんたちができました！

Halloween 2013

I took Kyle and his friend to the first trick or treating at a restaurant

They were too scared to walk in..So, a lady had to grab their hands to take them.haha

カイルとお友達を連れてレストランでまずはハローウィンの幕開けに。

と思ったら二人とも怖じけずいて入らない→話にならない→店員さん手をつないで奥まで同行してくれた。笑

We went to our church(ward) activity, too.

They wanted to be the dinosaurs.

The problem was that the dino had to be in the car seat with them.lol

 Kyle was very scared of this captain Hook.

He still is scared up to this day..

かなり怖がっていたキャプテンフック

「友達のお父さんだってば！」て言ってみたけど

リアルすぎて目も合わせませんでした

未だに怖がっています

カイルは週一回だけの幼稚園に行ってます

今回はみんな衣装で

For the real halloween night, they wanted to be Frankenstein(s).

Sean wasn't sure what this girl was trying to be..haha

イアンが今年もパンプキンやってくれました

Sean 5th Birthday!!!!!

 うちの長男、やっと５歳

になりました

あっという間だったと言いたいけど

まだまだ戦争の只中にいるような気分

色んな意味でフリーな彼

障害に伴う苦労があっても憎めません

頑張れ、ショーン！

そして衣装は、あれだけ怖がっている赤鬼

お友達に教えてもらった「鬼から電話」っていうアプリ

赤鬼さんから着信があって以来

恐怖のどん底に

でも、それになってみたかった？！らしい

で、買える訳ないので、お父さんとお母さん、手作りで作った

 胸毛は頭髪から移植（笑）

 

 

 後ろ姿が何とも言えません。。笑

ハワイらしくなってきた彼

 ピニャータから出て来たお菓子をみんなが必死で

拾っている陰でそそくさと隠れていた彼

よーく見たら、自分の好きなお菓子だけ

ちゃ〜んとシャツのポケットに隠して守り通していた

すごい　さすが次男！

Pumpkin Patch

 We have two pumpkin patches in this island. The first one only opens to public once a year which we missed. So, I took them to another one. They had a lot of activities for the kids to do but were very expensive! I ended up paying for a tractor ride and a couple of sunflowers.
I even packed our lunch, too! Made a table out of a cooler and there they were having a picnic in the back of the car:-)
この島には二つしかパンプキン畑がありません。一つは一年に一回だけしか公開されず（しかも見逃した！）ということでもう一つのに行きました。
子供たちの為の活動がいっぱいあったけれど、一つ一つが有料。高い。。ということでどうしても乗りたがったトラクターと、ひまわり畑のひまわり摘みだけ参加してみた。昼も弁当持参。車の後ろでアイスボックスをテーブルにしてピクニック？！　これも想い出想い出
