Our first shot today is again our little crazy guy
He calls himself "a green ghost"
We got this thing called "body sock" from Sean's teacher to use it for his therapy
but nowadays, we find his brother wearing it as his favorite toy..
It is pretty creepy if he is quietly standing right behind you when you turn around. haha
Monday-Ian went fishing with his friend and caught a trampet fish
we made clam/fish chowder with it
Friday-We were invited to two of Kyle's friends' birthday party
Since we live so far away from stores and those boys already have many toys
I was struggling finding something that would be good
I (of course) went on pinterest and saw some cute peg dolls
I personally prefer giving my boys play with wooden toys
So, I thought these dolls would be perfect gifts
I painted little clothpins (Ian did the white cat), sewed the bag and made the tag to go with it.
Aren't they cute? I had so much fun making them.
OK, you might tease me for all of my pinterest crasiness.
I saw this baking soda&vinegar activity for the kids and someone said that it kept their kid for two hours. I was so excited to keep my boys quiet for that long time.
It kept Sean shut up for only 15mins! I guess every kid is different.. gees!
Well, they had fun, though. It counts.
while they were doing that, Ian made humburgers out of big island beef(grass fed!).
I added mango quinoa salad and oven fried sweet potatoes to it. yum!
Again, pinterest! (I know, I did so much this week. I got addicted to it.)
I was amazed how all the stores here in Waimea actually ran out of plastic egg shells before the Easter Sunday. I guess that's one of those things that I need to get used to by living in a county side.
Well, Ian still wanted to have our own simple egg hunt at home.
So I made diy egg shells :) just used the egg container!
The kids got a copy of March 2012 Friend magazine
about our Savior's last week and the ressurection
My friend told us her idea of cutting them off in to each day and put it in each egg
I thought that was a great idea so i did do that
I think I will make this our family tradition
After church, we had egg hunt with our neighbors
My kids didn't even do egg coloring
and when it came to egg hunt,
they sat down started eating candies inside
They didn't really understand the purpose of it but oh well, they had fun.
Happy Easter, everyone!
Since Easter is not about bunnies and eggs, we had our family home evening on Monday night watched about the true meaning of Easter.
The boys were watching it very seriously and seemed they were thinking a lot after that.
They talked about him a lot and we could teach them about why he had to do that for us.
I don't know how much they actually understood it but hope they felt his love for them.
Here is the video. I am grateful for our Savior and what he has done for us so that we could live again.
