祖父と叔父 Grandpa and Uncle

イアンのお父さんと
先日伝道から帰還したばっかりのイアンの弟アレックが
１１時間かけてユタから車で来てくれました
３日間だけの短い間だったけど
楽しかったです
特にアレックも日本語がぺらぺらになっていたのには
驚いたプラス嬉しかったです
Ian's dad and his brother who just returned from the mission
drove all the way from Utah to visit us
It took 11hrs.. Thank you, papa and Alec for all the efforts!
They were here for only 3days but we had a lot of fun
It was surprising for me to see Alec speaking Japanese fluently
but more than that,
I was so happy to be able to communicate in my native language with him

ビーチ Beach

ハワイに住んでいた私たちは
海のないコロラドに来て以来
ビーチが恋しくて仕方ありません
ということで
ビーチを探して
見つけました！
その名もビックソーダレイク
そうです
湖です・・
After living in Hawaii, then moving to Colorado
where there is no ocean,
we've missed visiting the beach very much.
So, we looked around,
and actually found one!
It's called "Big Soda Lake".

今日は暑かったので
近所の小川へ
まずはパンツをぬいで・・
It was pretty hot today
so we went to the creek near by out apartment.
First, Sean took off his pants and sandals..

それから滑って全身びしょ濡れに・・
Then, he slipped and fell into the water, soaking him from head to toe..

春！ Spring!

５月中旬に雪が降ったのを最後に
ここボルダーにも春が来ました
春は私の一番好きな季節
嬉しくなって
いちご色々作ってみました
After the last snow in the middle of May,
the spring has finally come to Boulder.
Spring is my favorite season.
And one of my favorite things in spring
is
STRAWBERRIES!

春休み Spring Break

イアンの春休みが一週間あったので
家族の時間を満喫しました
近所の山へハイキングへ行ったり
Ian had a spring break for a week
so we spent some fun time as a family
We went to hike to the red rock mountain
図書館へ行ったり
went to a library

私の伝道部長と奥さんが
ショーンを観てくれている間に
私とイアンは神殿へ
My thoughtful mission president and his wife
watched Sean
so that we could go to the temple

デンバー水族館へ行ったり
went to the Denver Aquarium

デンバー自然科学博物館へ行ったり
went to the Denver Nature and Science Museum

デンバーの下町までやっと行く機会があって
楽しかったです
We finally had some opportunities to get to
downtown Denver and it was a lot of fun!

寝床 Bed

もう少ししたらお兄ちゃん
ということで
幼児ベットを中古屋で購入
ここ５日間ここで寝ています
ベビーベット卒業のようです
"Where the Wild Things Are"のデコレーション
も気に入っているようです
Since this guy is becoming a BIG brother,
we purchased a toddler bed
for him at a thrift store
He's been sleeping on this for 5day now
It seems like he graduated from his baby bed
He likes the decoration on the wall, too!

パパ Papa

パパとは、イアンのお父さんのこと
ショーンにもパパと呼んで欲しいとのことなので
パパと呼ばせています
そんなパパがまたコロラドに遊びに来てくれました
買い物や子守や、色々助けてくれて
ありがとう
また来てください！
We call Ian's dad "Papa"
Sean calls him papa, too
So, papa came to visit us in Colorado again
It was a lot of fun
Thank you, papa for all the help
with shopping and taking care of all of us!!
Come see us again!

労働 Labor

男友達 Boys

今日もまたショーンをあずかってもらいました
ジョシュア１歳３カ月、ショーン１歳４カ月
いつも仲良くケンカしています
Joshua 15month old, Sean 16month old
They play hard fight for each other's toys often
but still a good friend for each other

性別 Gender

今日はアレックおじさんの誕生日
伝道もあと少し、がんばってね！
そして今日は他にも特別なことが・・
赤ちゃんの性別

また女の子物のショッピングは
しばらくお預けになりそうです。笑
でもショーンにとっては
年の近い弟
楽しみです

again. So, I guess I still have to wait for
awhile for the pink girlie dress shopping. haha
But I think it would be great for Sean
to have a little brother who is so close to him.

死んだ人の日？ The Dead Guy's Day

今日は隣町のネーデルランドへ行きました
昔、冷凍人間になった人がここの町にいるらしく、
今日はその人のお祭り？でした
で、この祭りにわざわざ来た理由は
以前、この町でイアンが友達になった、チェーンソー職人のおじさん
今回の祭りの為に作る像のデザインをあらかじめ考えていたおじさんが、
イアンにそれを絵にするように依頼
これがその時イアンが描いた絵　

Today, we went to a town called Nederland
A long time ago, there was a guy in this town
whose family members froze his dead body in dry ice
So to commemorate this, the town established a holiday called "Frozen Dead Guy Day"!
The reason why we went there was to see a statue
that a chain saw artist created for this year's celebration.
When we met this artist for the first time,
he asked Ian to draw a picture of the statue for him
so that he could have a reference to look at while making the statue.
Here is the picture that Ian drew for him

病気 Sick

４日間高熱に悩まされたショーン
ついに病院へ行ってみたところ
小児バラ疹
全身に湿疹がでてきました
でも元気
Sean had a real high fever for four days
Finally I took him to a doctor
and found out that he has "roseola"
He started having rush all over his body now
But it seems like he is feeling fine

乗馬 Horse Back Riding

最近ショーンの好きな遊び
乗馬っていうか・・　分かりません

He loves playing with his dad.
It's not exactly the horse back riding though..

Some people have been telling us lately

最近、お皿をかやさずに

自分で食べれるようになりました

Lately, he started being able to eat

all by himself without flipping the plate

熊にもなれます

He can be a bear, too!

ソファにも自分でこっそりのぼって
みれるようになりました
He can sneekly climb up on the couch

最近言えるようになった言葉
「はい」
「くっく（靴）」
「ダダ（お父さん）」
「ママ/かあちゃん」
「パパ」
「ノンナ（伊：おばあちゃん）」
「ババ（日：おばあちゃん？）」
「ジジ（日：おじいちゃん？）」
「ベイビィ」
And these are the words that
he can say now
"Hi"
"Kukku(means shoes in japanese)"
"Dada"
"Mama/Kachan"
"Papa"
"Nonna(grandma in Italian)"
"Baba"
"Jiji"
"Baby"

まだまだ毎日がんばっておられます。
He is working on it everyday:)

ロッキー山脈国立公園 Rocky Mountain National Park

みよちゃんにロッキーの想い出を・・

ということで

うちから車で１時間ほどにある国立公園

へ行ってきました

We visited the natinal park

for Miyo to have some good memories of the rockies!

were used to be my father's

when he was a little boy.

He sent these for Sean to inherit.

言い訳 Excuses

感謝祭以来、私たちの近況を確認しようと
時間をとってこのブログをチェックしてみてくださっても
何の変化も無いのにがっかりさせられてきた皆様

すみません

いろいろありまして・・

言いわけ
１．懐妊・・・実は二人目の妊娠発覚。つわりと疲労
２．仕事・・・１月から新しい仕事を開始
３．カメラの故障
などなど

でも、やっと落ち着いてきたので、また始めます！

So, I have to apologize to those of you who have faithfully
been checking our updates on this blog, but getting disappointed.
SORRY!

Let me explain some of my excuses;
1.pregnancy-I found out I was pregnant and the morning sickness and the fatigue killed me
2.work-I started working for a new job
3.our camera got broken
etc..

Anyways, I think I finally settled down so I can do this again!
